Farnahan's Circus Next Thursday The Pre-K students are busy rehearsing "Farnahan's Circus," a decades-long New School tradition! The ringmasters, wild cats, super strong kids, clowns and acrobats will take the stage next Thursday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Books and Movement: A Magical Mix PreK and Kindergarten Family Literacy Night was a huge success. We started this Initiative to work on early literacy last semester and our children have been working hard all year supporting each other. Space Camp for 6th Grade Next Week Next week, May 5th-8th, our 6th graders will head to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.

Middle School Parent-Teacher Conferences Middle School parent-teacher conferences will take place the last week of school. Your child's homeroom teacher will send out a sign-up with their availability later this week. Upper School Conferences and Student Final Exams Parents are invited to sign up for individual year-end teacher-parent conferences with their child's teachers the week of May 13-17. Finals will be in the mornings, and teachers will be available for conferences at different times, depending on their schedules. Teachers will contact parents with their availability and make arrangements individually. Additionally, Marshall and Jennifer will be available to help set or review 4-year or 6-year course planning in case you have questions.

Masterclass for Music Students Our rock bands and Ensemble II students visited George's Majestic Lounge Tuesday, April 23, to learn from renowned musicians Victor Wooten and Daniel Levitin. The masterclass covered a plethora of topics related to groove, improvisation and creating a sense of self-confidence both on and off the stage.

Student Performs with Jazz All Stars Last night the Walton Arts Center hosted its third annual Jazz All-Stars performance with special guest, Victor Goines. The Jazz-All Stars is a group of the area's top performing high school Jazz musicians. One of our very own students, Olive Z., was featured on the tune "I'll Be Seeing You" with the All-Stars and Mr. Goines. Great job, Olive!
Spring Formal is Next Saturday, May 11 Students from grades 8 to 11 are invited to attend our TNS Spring Formal. Tickets are on sale for $40 each and are available for purchase until this Thursday, May 2.Additional Extended Day Activities Available We have added new after-school activities such as Spirit Squad, New School Gamers, Gardening and more!
