SPOTLIGHT Race to $320K and 100% Participation! I have had the pleasure of being part of The New School community for 13 years, having worked in almost every department in some capacity throughout my time here. This gives me a unique perspective on the importance of the school's Annual Fund. As an assistant in Early Childhood, I saw the students enjoy the beautiful campus every afternoon. As Webmaster, I saw the school grow every time someone clicked on our Google ads, drawn to the exceptional experience we offer. As the Technology teacher in Middle School, I got to see the school be one of the first in the state to move to a one-to-one technology program, and have the hardware and faculty support to make that a success.
Now, as an Upper School teacher, and, most importantly, a Mom of a New School student, I see what these students get every day: academic excellence in a familial environment. None of that would be possible without the support of our families and their Annual Fund gifts. I gave my donation before the school year even started, so please consider doing the same so we can continue to grow and succeed. Sincerely, At The New School, one of our three core values is Community. Our faculty and staff have demonstrated their commitment to our community by their 100% participation in the Annual Fund, and now is the time for you to join them! We need the rest of the community, our parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends to help us reach our Annual Fund goal of 100% Community Participation. No gift is too small, and from now until May 31, every gift is matched 1:1. You can make your gift or pledge online at thenewschool.org/give or bring your donation to the development office. FROM DR. GROESBECK Dear New School Community, Walking into the school entry today, I have to admit, my heart smiled! I have experienced Teacher Appreciation Week in many schools - in different states and countries. Nowhere have I seen this wonderful tradition of writing a simple note of Gratitude to teachers. Yes, the teachers appreciate the tasty food and wonderful treats. Yes, it feels so special to have a neck massage in the middle of a stressful teaching day. And Thank You to our generous families for all the attention and kindnesses.
Dr. Susan R. Groesbeck Head of School, Interim
